Terms of Use — TripTogether
Version 2026-09-27 · Effective 27.09.2026
This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Hebrew version is the binding original; if the two differ, the Hebrew version prevails.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the TripTogether app and related services (the "Service"). When you start using the Service you will be asked to actively accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that cannot be waived, including your rights under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, and the Standard Contracts Law, 5743-1982.
2. Who runs the Service
The Service is operated by [to be completed before publishing], ID number [to be completed before publishing], address [to be completed before publishing] (the "Operator", "we"). Contact: [to be completed before publishing] · phone —.
3. Who may use the Service
You must be 18 or older. By accepting these terms you confirm that you are at least 18 and that the details you provide are accurate. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under the minimum age, we may disable it and delete its data.
4. Account and security
Some features (trip sharing, feed, followers, referrals) require an account. Keep your sign-in details secret and tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for actions taken in your account, unless they were taken without your knowledge and you were not negligent in protecting your sign-in details. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → My data → Delete account). Deleting your account also deletes trips you own, with all their content, for every member. If a trip matters to others, export the data first (Profile → My data → Export my data).
5. What the Service does, and what it doesn't
The Service is a tool for planning trips, sharing ideas and managing shared expenses. Information about places, maps, exchange rates and recommendations is provided for convenience only:
- A map link is a search by name and destination; it does not confirm an address, opening hours or availability.
- Exchange rates are reference rates with their date and source shown; they are not the rate you will actually be charged.
- Content that users post reflects their own views, and we do not verify it.
Check important information (passports, visas, health, insurance, safety and provider terms) with official sources before you travel.
6. Booking trips through partners
The Service shows links to the websites of providers and resellers (for example hotels, flights, tours, eSIM and car rental). Please note:
- We are not a travel agent and not a party to the transaction. Booking, price, payment, changes and cancellation are handled directly with the provider, under its terms and privacy policy, as shown on its website.
- We do not charge you and do not hold your money or payment details.
- We may receive a commission from the provider for a booking made through a link. The commission does not increase your price. See "Disclosure: affiliate links".
- Your consumer rights, including the right to cancel a transaction under law, apply against the provider you contracted with.
We are responsible for the link leading to the named provider and for showing the required disclosure. We are not responsible for the provider's performance of the service, but we are happy to help you contact it.
7. Trip wallet
The trip wallet is a calculator for recording expenses and splitting them between participants. It is not a payment service, a money wallet, a financial service or investment advice, and it does not transfer money. "Who owes whom" is a calculation based on the data you entered; settling up happens between you, outside the app.
7A. TripTogether Pro
Basic use of the Service (planning, sharing, the wallet and swiping through destinations) is free. Pro features (for example wallet export, splitting by amounts, budget alerts and swipe extras) are available in two ways:
- Annual subscription: renews automatically at the end of each year at the price shown before purchase, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Canceling at least 24 hours before the end of the period prevents the next charge, and Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Trip Pass: a one-time purchase that does not renew. It unlocks Pro for one shared trip, for all its members, for as long as the trip exists. The pass is activated only after our server verifies Apple's signature on the purchase.
Payment, invoicing and billing are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. Refund requests are submitted to Apple. This does not limit your rights under the Consumer Protection Law, including regarding the cancellation of an ongoing transaction. If a Pro feature you purchased stops working through our fault, we will fix it or compensate you fairly.
We will announce price changes or material changes to Pro features in the app in advance. A price change to an existing subscription applies only under Apple's rules and with your consent where required.
8. Your content
Photos, text, places and notes you upload ("User Content") remain yours. To operate the Service you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, process, resize and display the content only to the audience you chose (only me, trip members, followers or public) and for operating the Service. We do not use your content to promote the Service without your separate, explicit consent.
The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies temporarily kept in backups until they are deleted, or where the law requires retention.
You confirm that you have the rights to the content you upload, and that you obtained the consent of identifiable people who appear in it where the law requires.
9. Prohibited conduct
You may not use the Service to post content that is illegal, offensive, threatening, harassing, racist, sexually explicit, misleading or infringing; to impersonate others; to send spam; to collect information about users; to bypass security measures or limits; to abuse the referral program; or to disrupt the Service. See also "Community guidelines and reporting".
10. Shared trips
When you invite people to a trip, they will see the trip content according to the permission you gave (view or edit). The trip owner can remove members and revoke invites. A member who leaves or is removed loses access to the trip content, but content they already saw or saved outside the app is beyond our control.
11. Points and referrals
Points and tiers have no cash value and cannot be redeemed, transferred or sold. The full rules are in "Points and referral rules".
12. Intellectual property
The Service, design, code, logo and content we create belong to the Operator or its licensors. You may use them only as part of normal use of the app.
13. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but there may be faults, interruptions or changes. Where possible, we will give advance notice of a material change or discontinuation and let you export your data first.
14. Liability
The Service is provided as is, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for damage caused by an act or omission of a third-party provider or another user, or by relying on information you did not verify as described in section 5.
Nothing in this section releases us from liability for damage caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence, from liability that cannot be limited by law, or from our obligations under the Consumer Protection Law and the Privacy Protection Law.
15. Your responsibility
If you knowingly or negligently breach these terms and, as a result, a third party brings a claim against us, you will indemnify us for direct damage and reasonable expenses actually awarded or incurred. We will notify you promptly of any such claim and allow you to defend it.
16. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or block an account that breached these terms or the law, or to protect other users. Unless it is urgent, we will notify you first and allow you to fix the breach or export your data.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will announce a material change in the app at least 14 days in advance and ask you to accept again. A change will not apply retroactively to events that occurred before it takes effect.
18. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Israeli law. Jurisdiction lies with the competent courts of the Tel Aviv–Jaffa district, without limiting your right to file a claim in any competent court under law, including a small claims court.
19. Contact
Questions, complaints and requests: [to be completed before publishing]. We will reply promptly, usually within 14 days.
